When to seek medical help promptly (examples, not exhaustive)

  • Chest pain, severe breathlessness, fainting, one-sided weakness, slurred speech, sudden severe headache/confusion.
  • Heavy, persistent or unusual bleeding; severe abdominal/pelvic pain.
  • Calf pain/swelling/redness with breathlessness (possible DVT/PE).
  • Severe allergic reactions (wheezing, swelling, hives).
  • Suicidal thoughts or severe depression — seek urgent help immediately (999/111/GP/crisis services).

Our commitment

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We design for readable text, keyboard navigation, proper labels, and sufficient colour contrast.

What we’ve done

  • Semantic HTML; appropriate ARIA.
  • Keyboard-accessible forms and controls.
  • Alt text for informative images; decorative images marked accordingly.
  • Colour contrast ≥ 4.5:1 for body text.
  • Visible focus states; responsive layout.

Known limitations at launch

  • Some PDFs may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers.
  • Certain third-party embeds may have their own accessibility limits.
    Roadmap: Tag downloadable PDFs, provide captions/transcripts for media, audit third-party components.
